Game Cancellations To check on possible cancellations or last minute changes to game or playoff schedules due to inclement weather or special situations, please call the Athletics Game Cancellation Line at 336-373-2366. Information will be put on the cancellation line for weekday events no earlier than 4:30 pm and for Saturday and Sunday events no earlier than 7:30 am.
Basketball Women's Basketball Parks & Recreation offers a winter basketball league for women ages 16 and over. Team practices are held in December and games begin in January. The registration fee is $40 per person. For additional information, call Paula Boykin at 336-373-2946.
Women's Basketball League By-Laws
Men's Basketball Men's basketball registration is usually held from late September through the end of October. Teams may sign up for either Open or Church divisions, which are broken down into Class A, B and C leagues. Games usually begin after Thanksgiving. The entry fee is $475 for Guilford County teams and $845 for non-county teams. For additional information, call Don Tilley at 336-373-2955.
Men's Basketball League By-Laws
Softball The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of men's, women's and co-ed softball leagues for adults throughout the year. Team fees for all weekday softball leagues are $475 for teams inside Guilford County (fees for teams outside of Guilford County TBD). Team fees for men's Friday night leagues are $375 for teams inside Guilford County.

Spring Softball - Men's and Women's Slow-Pitch Different skill levels and divisions are offered for men's and women's slow-pitch softball leagues, which include open, church and Friday night leagues. Registration for all spring softball leagues begins in January. Mandatory league organizational meetings will be scheduled where league rules will be reviewed and practice schedules will be assigned.
Fall Softball - Men's Modified, Adult Co-Ed and Men's 45-Plus The fall softball programs include co-ed recreational softball for men and women, men's modified softball (a modified pitch between slow-pitch and fast-pitch) and men's age 45-Plus (for men age 45 and older) leagues. Women's Softball League Schedules Women's Softball 2011 Regular Season Schedule
Softball Umpire Clinics The slow-pitch softball umpire clinics are held from early February through the end of March. Umpire clinics for the men's modified and co-rec leagues will be held in July. To officiate in the adult slow-pitch softball program, umpires must register with the contracted booking agent and attend a required number of clinic sessions, which may vary according to years of experience. Bobby Hamilton is the booking agent for the 2011 season.
This adult softball program is sanctioned with the National Softball Association (NSA). Umpires are charged a $40 umpire sanctioning fee (which covers insurance, rule book, bat ring, and other items), and a $20 booking fee. For additional information, call Bobby Hamilton at 336-686-5424

Men's Senior Baseball The adult baseball program is a cooperative venture between Greensboro Parks and Recreation and Collegiate Baseball for players, post-college age and older. The Men’s Senior Baseball League (MSBL) is open to players 18 years and older and provides players in their 30s, 40s, and 50s with competitive baseball. Sign-ups are held in March and April, and the season runs from April through August. For more information, call the Athletics office at 336-412-5799 or use the Athletics contact form.
Adult Flag Football Registration for the men's flag football league takes place in March and games are held from April through June. The flag football team registration fee is $475 per team for teams inside of Guilford County and $845 per team for teams outside Guilford County. Adult Co-Ed Kickball Adult kickball registration is held during the month of February and an organizational meeting takes place during the first week in March. Games are scheduled for mid March through early May. The program consists of regular season games held on one weekday evening for each league and a single elimination tournament immediately following the regular season. Teams may choose to play in either the Club League for more competitive teams, or the Recreational League. All games are officiated and each team receives an official practice ball.
