Greene Pictures
Greene Pictures is City Arts Drama Center's community-based motion picture company. Short and experimental films are created throughout the year by anyone interested in the art of motion pictures.
The three sections of Greene Pictures are:
Greene Pictures Jr. (grades 4-9) - Students work with area professionals to learn how to shoot and edit their own movies. Workshops are held from 5-6:30 pm on the second Wednesday of the month. Each month, we will shoot a two-page script. Participants are encouraged to bring their own cameras and actors are always welcome. The script for the next workshop is posted here.
Teen Greene Pictures (grades 9 to age 20) - Scripts may be submitted by teen writers to the Drama Center for consideration. Selected scripts will be auditioned and crewed by local teens so they can learn all aspects of filmmaking. Plans are being made to shoot a 10 minute film after July 1. Interested teens should call 336-335-6426 or use the Contact Us link below. There is also a monthly meeting on the first Wednesday of the month from 5-6:30 pm at the Greensboro Cultural Center.
Greene Pictures Prime - Teens and adults are invited to participate in an annual Web series, which is cast in October and shot in December and January. Participants can learn many aspects of filmmaking from behind the camera to on-camera acting while working with area professionals.
