Solid Waste Services Guide Available

Residents of Guilford County and all its municipalities now have a new guide to help them properly dispose of household trash and other unwanted items: the Guilford County Solid Waste Services Guide. A free copy of the guide may be picked up at all City and Town halls, public libraries, and Parks and Recreation Centers, or you can download the guide now.

Volvo Trucks North America paid for the design and printing of 100,000 copies of the guide, which was produced by the Litter Prevention Partnership of Guilford County. This partnership consists of representatives of the City of Greensboro, the City of High Point, Greensboro Beautiful, Guilford County, Guilford County Department of Public Health, and High Point Keep America Beautiful. The Partnership has been working since last spring to implement a variety of litter abatement and prevention programs to address the growing illegal dumping problem in Guilford County.
