Youth First Teen Summit
The City’s Parks and Recreation Department Youth First Program invites all Guilford County middle and high school students to a fun-filled day of discussing important teen topics and learning about local teen services and programs.

The 2009 Youth First Teen Summit will be held on Monday, October 26, at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center from 8:30 am - 4 pm. October 26 is a Teachers' Work Day, so teens will be out of school that day.

The theme this year is "09 Teen Summit in 3D; Dating, Drugs and Other Dilemmas." The goal is to raise awareness around teen dating by having serious discussions on topics like peer pressure, drug and physical abuse, sexuality, and statistics on teenage pregnancy, and how parenthood affects both teen parents. 

Space is limited to 200 teens and registration is required.
