High Point Road / West Lee Street Corridor Plan - Draft Concepts 
A number of draft concepts for potential development sites in the High Point Road / West Lee Street corridor were presented to the public at a community meeting on November 15, 2007. Links for these concepts are available below. These concepts are being refined with input from the Corridor Plan Citizen Committee and general public, and revised concepts will be presented with the draft Corridor Plan under development. A brief presentation on the initial conclusions from our design and economic analyzes is also available below.

Draft Corridor Concepts

High Point Road / West Lee Street Corridor (all potential development sites)

Site 1 - North side of W. Lee Street - S. Eugene Street to Freeman Mill Road
(Brooks Construction and nearby businesses)

Sites 2 & 3 - W. Lee Street - Freeman Mill Road to Lexington Ave.
(former Charles Roberts Company and Industrial / Glenwood Neighborhood)

Sites 4 & 5 - W. Lee Street - Highland Avenue to S. Aycock Street (shops / industry / commercial)

Sites 6 & 7 - W. Lee Street - S. Aycock Street to Coliseum Boulevard / S. Chapman Street
(UNCG park and ride facility, underutilized industrial with truck trailers)

Sites 8, 9 & 10 - High Point Road - Patterson Ct. to just north of Immanuel Baptist Church (Coliseum complex, former Canada Dry, Coliseum Inn and other businesses)

Sites 11 & 12 - West side of High Point Road, south of Immanuel Road (vacant parcels behind Shell gas station) and High Point Road and W. Florida Street (China King and adjacent uses)

Sites 13 & 14 - High Point Road - Dexter Avenue to I-40 (Burlington Coat Factory, Oakhurst Senior Living Center, areas behind Park Lane Hotel and other hotels / offices / restaurants)
