Advisory Commission on Trees
The Greensboro Advisory Commission on Trees reviews appeals of decisions made by the administrative review official charged with enforcing the Tree Preservation Ordinance. The Commission is also responsible for reviewing the Tree Preservation and Landscape Ordinances and advising staff on appropriate changes to the text. Finally, the Commission provides professional expertise for developing program goals and policies for the Greensboro Urban Forestry Program.

The Advisory Commission on Trees is composed of nine citizen members appointed by City Council for three year terms. Regular meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 3 pm in the Council Chamber of the Melvin Municipal Office Building, 300 West Washington Street, Greensboro.
