Plan Review Times

In May 2000, the Planning Department evaluated the changes necessary to improve the way the City reviews and approves subdivisions and site plans.

Issue: The length of time necessary to complete the process.

One of the concerns raised by this process was the length of time a plan was being reviewed by the City.

Recommendation: That the amount of time that the City is allowed to complete the first review of a project be increased from five working days to 10 working days.

When this recommendation was implemented, City staff agreed to continue to review the plan as quickly as possible, but in no case shall the amount of time exceed 10 working days.

Resubmissions

If the plan is resubmitted without major revisions and within 14 calendar days from the completion of the previous review, staff is committed to reviewing the resubmission within five working days.
