City Seeks Consulting Services for Cultural District Plan

GREENSBORO -- August 20, 2007 – The City of Greensboro is seeking proposals from qualified firms for consulting services to assist in a design and development plan for Greensboro’s Cultural District. This plan focuses on a 10-block area that includes a number of public cultural facilities and is a key location for future public and private investment.

Given existing facilities, activities and potential for new development, the City is interested in a plan for this area that melds previous planning efforts and creates a cohesive, economically viable district that functions more effectively and is appealing to Greensboro citizens, developers, business operators, and visitors.

The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and area map are attached. Proposals are due to the Executive Department by Friday, September 14, 2007.
