The overlay district and design manual promote quality and compatible redevelopment through flexible and clear design standards. An important goal of the design manual is to help property owners, developers, architects, engineers, and planners meet the vision for the Spring Garden Street corridor as stated in the Lindley Park Neighborhood Plan. The concepts included in the manual are based on fundamental principles of good site, architectural, and urban design. The manual is also intended to go beyond the role of a regulatory document and be used as an educational tool.
