News & Events Greater Kirkwood Community NCO The Greater Kirkwood Community is wrapping up its Neighborhood Conservation Overlay process. Proposed standards that may be included in the final NCO document (under development) were presented to the neighborhood for comment in October. Questions or comments? Browntown / Cornwallis NCO The Browntown / Cornwallis neighborhood is evaluating elements for a potential NCO. Neighborhood characteristics that might make sense for NCO standards were presented in September.
Downtown Design Overlay & Manual The Downtown Design Overlay and Manual were officially adopted by Council on September 7. The City is still seeking residents for the Council-appointed Property Owners Review Team (PORT) to review downtown plans that are not able to be approved automatically by staff. Interest forms must be completed and submitted to the City Clerk's office.
 Downtown Area Consolidated Plan The City, Guilford County, Action Greensboro and Downtown Greensboro Inc. are embarking on an exciting new plan to keep the momentum going in downtown. The Downtown Area Consolidated Plan weaves together work from previous plans as well as builds on those efforts to keep our downtown safe, vibrant and engaging.
