What is it? Mixed use development means that several land uses are close together with strong connections, street orientation and good design.
Mixed use is found in both older and newer development throughout Greensboro in different settings and forms. It is a cornerstone of the Connections 2025 adopted comprehensive plan.

Where is it? Mixed use is encouraged all over Greensboro. Connections 2025 promotes mixed use in three distinct areas shown on the Generalized Future Land Use Map.

Activity Centers & Regional Transit Stations Connections 2025 describes 13 activity centers and six transit stations.
Downtown Connections 2025 calls for Greensboro's center city to have the highest densities and mixed use.
