Greensboro Police Department Organizational Structure and Functions    

The Greensboro Police Department is comprised of 639 sworn law enforcement officers and 108 non-sworn employees. The Police Department is made up of five major components: Office of the Chief of Police, Investigative Bureau, Management Bureau, Patrol Bureau, and Support Bureau. The department's 747 authorized personnel are assigned within 14 separate divisions. A full range of law enforcement services is provided through the various components of the Police Department.
