Greensboro Police Department Organizational Structure and Function    

The Greensboro Police Department is comprised of 587 sworn law enforcement officers and 121 non-sworn employees. The Police Department is made up of five major components: Office of the Chief of Police, Metropolitan Operations Bureau, Administrative Operations Bureau, Western Operations Bureau, and Eastern Operations Bureau. The department's 708 authorized personnel are assigned within 13 separate divisions. A full range of law enforcement services is provided through the various components of the Police Department.
