Captain J. F. Allen has served with the Greensboro Police Department since 1991. She currently serves as the commander of the Professional Standards Division. Her career has included tours of duty in Patrol, the Criminal Investigation Division, Internal Affairs and as the Executive Officer to the Chief of Police. She holds a BA degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
