Community Resource Officers

Most officers entered this profession to serve their communities. One of the ways we serve you is through Community Resource Officers (CROs). Community Resource Officers are a special team of sworn law Greensboro Police Community Meetingenforcement officers. Their main objective is to help the community address problems. These creative problem-solvers are familiar with their assigned community and can help work toward long-term solutions to community issues.  

Your CRO can help you find the best solution to a problem so that your community will be a better, safer place. They can also help you start a community watch in your neighborhood and are available to speak at neighborhood meetings.
 
CROs have access to many resources to help address problems. Some of these resources include:  

  • Vice/Narcotics Unit      
  • Tactical Special Enforcement Teams (TSET) 
  • Criminal Investigations Division 
  • Code Enforcement
  • Traffic Enforcement Team 
  • Department of Social Services (DSS)
  • Water Resources
  • Center City Resource Team
  • Inspections Department  
  • Crime Analysis
  • School Resource Officers 
  • Patrol Division
