Additional Arrest in Armed Assault on Officers

Greensboro Police detectives have arrested and charged an additional suspect in the Sunday night armed assault on three Greensboro police officers on Mayfair Avenue. Two suspects have already been arrested and charged and this third suspect had been at large.

Today officers arrested Almonzo Thomas McNeil, BM/17, of John Demery Drive. He has been charged with the following offenses: kidnapping, armed robbery, three counts of assault on a law enforcement officer with a firearm. Additionally there were two outstanding orders for arrest for him for various narcotics and motor vehicle offenses.
