Arrest Made in 2006 Taxi Driver Homicide

GREENSBORO -- Greensboro Police have made an additional arrest in the investigation of the homicide of taxi driver Abbas Elshikh that occurred on August 19, 2006 at 606 Marsh Street. Today detectives arrested Jeffery Bernard Cobb, 21, 1200 Orchard Street. Cobb was charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

These charges are in addition to two suspects previously arrested in this case: Quinn Devon Walker, 16, and Safye Rahmad Townsend, 18.

Cobb was arrested in the Guilford County Jail where he was in custody for other unrelated charges. Cobb is a known gang member.
