Child Recovered Safely after Amber Alert

GREENSBORO, NC -- December 19, 2007 -- Earlier today the Greensboro Department issued an Amber Alert for a missing 7-month-old child, Brionna Johnson, who was reported to be in the custody of her biological father, Quito Lamont Johnson, 30. 

The Greensboro Police Department, in cooperation with Guilford Department of Social Services, was able to make contact with Johnson and negotiate the safe return of the child at approximately 11 am. The child was returned to DSS by an aunt.

Quito Johnson turned himself in at the Guilford County Sheriff’s Department in Greensboro at approximately 12 noon today and is being charged with Assault by Strangulation, Domestic Criminal Trespass, Violation of a Domestic Violence Protection Order, Assault on a Female, False Imprisonment and Abduction of a Child. Bond had not been determined at the time of this press release.
