Child Death Investigation

GREENSBORO, NC -- (December 20, 2007) -- At approximately 12 noon today, Greensboro Officers and Guilford County EMS were dispatched to 200 Apt. A Doak St. in reference to a child having a medical emergency. Upon arrival, a non-responsive 5-month-old female was found at the residence. She was originally found in the bathtub in a non-responsive state by her father. The child was taken to Cone Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

The investigation is continuing and persons with information are asked to call the Greensboro Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 373-2255 or Crime Stoppers at 373-1000.
