Arrest Made in Double Homicide

An arrest has been made in the double homicide of two brothers at the Marisqueria Las Jarochitas Restaurant on December 8. Alejandro Enrique Umana was arrested on December 12 in Charlotte, N.C. and served with a warrant for arrest for two counts of first degree murder. He is being held with no bond in Mecklenburg County. Other charges are pending and the case is still under investigation.
 
The Greensboro Police Department asks that no picture of Umana be shown until it completes this phase of the investigation.

The victims of the double homicide were Manuel Garcia Salinas, 42, and Ruben Garcia Salinas, 31.

The apprehension of Umana was the result of a joint effort between the Greensboro Police Department, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Gang Unit and Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department S.W.A.T. team.
