Attempted Robbery

Greensboro Police are investigating an attempted robbery of a bicyclist at approximately 1 am on Tuesday, January 22 at Lee and Chapman Streets.

A dark gray Toyota Camry containing four young black males, one of whom was allegedly armed with a gun, pulled along side the bicyclist and demanded his wallet. The cyclist fled down Chapman Street when the suspects became started by a passing vehicle. He gave police the vehicle's license plate number, which came back as stolen from Raleigh.

A Highway Patrolman later pulled the vehicle over and was able to apprehend two of the passengers.
