Homicide Investigation

Greensboro Police are investigating a homicide that occurred last night in the 400 block of Boyd Street. At approximately 11:20 pm officers responded to this location in reference to a shooting. When they arrived on the scene, they located a gunshot victim in the street. The victim was transported to Moses Cone Hospital and died at approximately 7:30 am. The victim has been identified as: Ernest Washington Dixon III, B/M 16.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing and persons with information are asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 373-2255 or Crime Stoppers at 373-1000.
