Homicide Investigation

Greensboro Police detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred Monday night at approximately 11 pm.  Officers responded to Benbow Road and East Washington Street in reference to a shooting and when they arrived they located a gunshot victim in a vehicle. The victim, Karl Lamont Mark, 28, was pronounced dead on the scene. 

A female was also in the car and suffered a gunshot wound, but was treated and released at Moses Cone Hospital.

The actual shooting of these victims apparently occurred near the intersection of Julian Street and Logan Street.
