CSW Committees

CSW Committees carry out the mission and vision of the Commission by presenting seminars, workshops, projects, outreach services, and conferences throughout the year. Activities of the committees are highlighted in the CSW Annual Report. Participation by non-CSW members is encouraged.

Standing Committees

Executive: Comprised of the Commission chair, vice-chair, and chairpersons of each committee. Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday.
Membership: Maintains up-to-date records on the Commission members and makes recommendations to the City Council to fill vacancies.
Services for Seniors: Identifies challenges facing seniors in the Greensboro community and provides senior awareness by promoting available programs/services for older adults.
Visibility/Publicity: Promotes the Commission's work through media contact, publishing of a newsletter, developing brochures, updating the website, and creating other publications.
Gender Violence: Participates in the county-wide initiative to explore the creation of a one-stop delivery system for victims of domestic violence in Guilford County.
Gender Pay Gap: Researches wages for women in Greensboro and makes appropriate recommendations for corrective action.
Community Partnership: Develops partnerships with other organizations that mirror CSW's mission and vision in order to host informative programs and collaborate on projects that improve the quality of life for women in Greensboro.
