City government, local businesses and residents can work together to protect our water resources. 

To complement environmental education in the community and to empower residents to make a difference, two volunteer programs were created. The Adopt-a-Stream and Drain Marker programs encourage residents to get involved.

By making a small commitment to install plaques on City storm drains or to remove trash from local streams, you can make a difference. Volunteers have included groups such as Scout troops, church groups, families, businesses, university clubs, and civic groups.
