Water Quality Monitoring
The Water Quality Section of Stormwater Management has two very important roles. The first and primary role is the protection of the City's surface waters -- the lakes and streams. We gather information about the environment, educate people about pollution sources, and implement pollution prevention programs to improve the quality of lakes and streams so that everyone will have an enjoyable environment. The secondary role is providing those same services to meet the needs of our City's Stormwater Permit.
By monitoring lakes and streams, we can help determine the condition of our water resources and whether the Stormwater Program is successful.
