The division also provides analyst services for streamlining information requests and reporting across the organization and technical training. 

The Department was established in 2000 when the City moved from mainframe applications to the UNIX platform. This centralized division works with power users from the functional departments, as well as system administrators from the Information Technology Department to maintain efficient software solutions.

We test new releases, enhancements and patches, implement and establish standards for interfaces, and deliver tools to make information access easier. Enterprise solutions include the Greensboro e-Procurement System, Employee Self Service, Process Flows, Business Intelligence, Crystal Reporting, and Integrated Imaging.

Our enterprise solution provider is Lawson Software, which runs on an IBM AIX platform against an Oracle Database. These software applications manage information that is critical to the City’s ability to accomplish its mission.
