Solid Waste Disposal Fees

The cost of disposing waste is called a tipping fee. This fee varies based on the type and amount of waste to be disposed. 

Transfer Station 
The transfer station accepts municipal solid waste (MSW) and construction and demolition (C&D) at the following rates:

MSW & C&D
Cars: $10 per trip                                    
All other vehicles: $41 per ton 

The transfer station does not accept yard waste.


White Street Landfill
The White Street Landfill accepts construction and demolition (C&D) and yard waste at the following rates:

C&D                                                                                Yard Waste
Cars: $10 per trip                                                        Cars: $10 per trip   
All other vehicles: $31 per ton                                  All other vehicles: $40 per ton        

The landfill no longer accepts MSW.

By state law, yard waste and MSW must be disposed of separately.
