Adopt-A-Street Program
The Adopt-A-Street Program started in 1998 when the City of Greensboro and its citizens recognized the need to combat the litter problem in our community. Currently, there are 33 active members who volunteer their time to pick up litter on 27 miles of streets within the City of Greensboro.
Advantages to participating in the Adopt-A-Street Program:
-
Improve the attractiveness of the City
-
Reduce roadway pollution
-
Reduce water pollution
-
Increase public awareness of environmental issues
-
Reduce the cost of litter removal
