The mission of the Department of Housing and Community Development is to ensure that all areas of Greensboro -- residential, business and center city -- remain healthy and vital. In this mission, the Department works closely with other housing and human service agencies, community and neighborhood groups, residents, and government leaders.

HCD supports programs that encourage homeownership, neighborhood revitalization, lead safe housing, neighborhood economic development and assistance to homeless residents and people at risk of homelessness.
