Homeless Prevention Services and Community Partners Ending Homelessness
The Planning and Community Development Department administers contracts with nonprofit agencies to provide homelessness prevention services. These contracts partially fund services provided by agencies that help those who are homeless or at great risk of being homeless find or remain in safe housing.
See the websites of the homeless prevention agencies currently receiving City funding for information about these programs and services. Homeless Prevention service contracts are funded annually from local and federal grant sources. Greensboro, High Point, and Guilford County leaders support the development and implementation of a Ten-Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness, which is now being implemented. To learn more about community partners who are working to end chronic homelessness and for more information on homeless prevention services and providers in Guilford County, visit Partners Ending Homelessness.
