Greensboro Historic Preservation Commission

The Greensboro Historic Preservation Commission will hold its Regular Monthly Meeting on Wednesday April 30, 2008 at 4 pm in the Plaza Level Conference Room of the Melvin Municipal Office Building, 300 W. Washington Street. Please note the new location for the meeting. The tentative agenda is as follows:

1. Approval of Absences

2. Approval of Minutes, March 26, 2008 Meeting

3. Applications for Certificate of Appropriateness (Public Hearing)

a. 4 Magnolia Court  – Enclose screened porch at rear of house (continued, after-the-fact)

b.  Parkway Drive (Fisher Park Circle to W. Bessemer Avenue) – Install street lights (continued)

c. 1007 N. Eugene Street – Demolition of garage

d. 1000 N. Eugene Street – Exterior alterations and addition of porte cochere at back of house as part of major renovations

e. 811 Cypress Street (Aycock Middle School) – Construction of brick sign to replace wood sign at  northeast corner of campus (conceptual approval only)

 f.  512-516 S. Mendenhall Street  -- Replace windows and siding between windows


4. Review National Register Nomination of Wilbur and Martha Carter House, 1012 Country Club Drive

5. Items from Commission Chairman

6. Items from Department of Housing and Community Development
