The October 31, 2007 regularly scheduled meeting of the Greensboro Historic Preservation Commission has been CANCELLED

The Greensboro Historic Preservation Commission has rescheduled the October meeting to Wednesday November 7, 2007 at 5 pm in the Council Chamber located on the second floor of the Melvin Municipal Office Building, 300 W. Washington Street. The tentative agenda is as follows:

1. Approval of Absences

2. Approval of Minutes, September 26 Meeting

3. Applications for Certificate of Appropriateness (Public Hearing)

a) 808 Cypress Street – Construction of addition to house

b) 628 S. Mendenhall Street – Tree removal and construction of parking area (after-the-fact, continued)

c) 200, 201 S. Mendenhall Street – Window replacement (after-the-fact, continued)

d) 629 Joyner Street – Tree removal

e) 318 West Bessemer Avenue – Construction of addition to house

f) 610 Simpson Street -- Window replacement (after-the-fact)

g) 817 N. Elm Street – Replace windows; replace electrical meters; install utility pole

h) 905 Magnolia Street – Construction of accessory structure

4. Review and recommendation of Rezoning Application from Holy Trinity Episcopal Church for property bounded by North Greene Street, West Smith Street, Simpson Street and West Fisher Avenue in the Fisher Park Historic District. The request is for a change from General Business and General Office Moderate Intensity to Conditional District – Planned Unit Development – Infill (CD-PDI). (Note: Application will be heard by the Zoning Commission on November 12, 2007 with final approval by City Council on December 18, 2007.)
