Greensboro Housing Development Partnership (GHDP)

The Greensboro Housing Development Partnership Inc. (GHDP) is a joint endeavor of the City of
Greensboro and the Greensboro Housing Authority. Its purpose is to help accomplish specific affordable housing program activities. The partnership is under the direction of a Board of Directors. Some of the activities undertaken by the partnership include:

Greensboro Affordable Home Loan Initiative (GAHLI). GAHLI is a program that provides financial counseling, education, and second mortgage assistance to low and moderate income individuals / families purchasing their first home in Greensboro. The partnership manages this program in conjunction with the City.

Housing Development Program. The partnership has served in many capacities in the development of several housing programs. This involvement has ranged from the acquisition of land to the sale and development of lots. These programs have been in such neighborhoods as Nealtown Farms, “The Village” at Arlington Park, Southside, and the Homes at Eastside Park at Bingham Street

Historic Houses. GHDP has worked in coordination with the City on the renovation and / or marketing of several historic houses. These historic homes have been located in the Arlington Park, Ole Asheboro and Southside neighborhoods.
