Development Opportunities Through the Redevelopment Commission
The Redevelopment Commission of the City of Greensboro (RCG) conducts studies, formulates plans, and carries through redevelopment projects for blighted areas in the City. Redevelopment projects can and usually do provide a variety of development opportunities for single family homes and multi-family housing, as well as occasionally providing opportunities for the development of parks, community buildings, and neighborhood commercial/retail spaces. Requests for Proposals (RFP) or for Qualifications (RFQ) are issued on an as-needed basis. Currently, development opportunities exist in the Old Asheboro and the Willow Oaks redevelopment areas.
Eligibility
All projects must be carried out in full conformance with federal program rules that govern awarded funds, including the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), and all applicable City contracting and development policies, including, but not limited to, the Minority and Women Business Enterprise Plan for Construction, Procurement and Professional Services. Additional eligibility requirements, if any, can be found in the RFP or RFQ for a specific project.
