Homeowner Housing Rehabilitation Program

Rehab loans and deferred loans are available at 3 percent interest for the actual cost of rehabilitation, but the cost of repairs cannot exceed $43,400. You can take up to 20 years to repay the loan.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Your home is within Greensboro City limits.
  • You own and occupy your home.
  • Tax value of your property does not exceed $130,104.
  • Credit check and loan qualification is required.
  • Equity in the property must exceed the combined total of the rehab loan.
  • Your family income can not exceed 80 percent of the area median income adjusted for family size (see below)
  • Other eligibility criteria apply.
