The City of Greensboro has awarded contractual management of the Farmers Market to the Greensboro Farmers Market Inc (GFM).
As a community-based nonprofit organization, GFM will facilitate the growth of a market that is community, vendor and customer focused. All three of these groups will benefit from working together to create a vibrant and diverse market that serves as a vehicle for improving the economic, physical and social health of the community.
"The Mission of the Greensboro Farmers Market Inc. will be to provide Greater Greensboro with opportunities to purchase and learn about local food and crafts while interacting with producers and each other in a friendly and diverse social setting. In doing so, GFM will encourage and support growth of local foods and artisan goods businesses to improve Greater Greensboro’s economy, support better health through healthy eating and build social and community connections."
