The City has been asked to review and comment on the nomination of the Proximity Print Works building, 1700 Fairview St., as a national historic place. Greensboro City Council will consider the nomination at its September 16 meeting. In the meantime, written comments may be sent to the Planning Department, PO Box 3136, Greensboro, NC 27402-3136 or e-mailed.

National Register PlaqueThe National Register of Historic Places is the nation's official list of cultural resources worthy of preservation.

In Greensboro, there are more than 38 properties and 12 districts listed in the National Register.

The National Register of Historic Places is administered by the US Department of the Interior through the NC State Historic Preservation Office (NCSHPO). The NCSHPO website includes lists by county of historic properties, sites and districts that have been listed or determined eligible for listing in the National Register.
