The Water Quality Section of Stormwater Management has two very important roles. The first and primary role is to protect the City's surface waters -- the lakes and streams. Water Quality gathers information about the environment, educates people about pollution sources, and implements pollution prevention programs to improve the quality of lakes and streams so everyone has an enjoyable environment. The secondary role is to provide those same services to meet the needs of our City's Stormwater Permit.
By monitoring lakes and streams, Water Quality staff helps determine the condition of our water resources and the success of the Stormwater Program. Learn more about Water Quality Data.
