Historic Preservation Commission

The Historic Preservation Commission is a nine-member board appointed by the City Council that meets the last Wednesday of each month. They review applications for Certificates of Appropriateness to ensure that changes to buildings and the neighborhood setting in Greensboro's three local Historic Districts meet Historic District Guidelines. The commission also advises the City Council on historic preservation matters.

Member must be qualified based on interest or experience in history, architecture, archaeology, or related fields.
