Adult Softball

The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of men's, women's and co-ed softball leagues for adults throughout the year.

Spring Softball - Men's and Women's Slow-Pitch
Different skill levels and divisions are offered for men's and women's slow-pitch softball leagues, which include open, church and Friday night leagues. Registration for all spring softball leagues begins in January. Mandatory league organizational meetings will be scheduled so that league rules can be reviewed and practice schedules assigned.

Fall Softball - Men's Modified, Adult Co-Ed and Men's 45-Plus
The fall softball programs include co-ed recreational softball for men and women, men's modified softball (a modified pitch between slow-pitch and fast-pitch) and men's 45-Plus (for men age 45 and older) leagues.

Softball Umpire Clinics
Slow-pitch softball umpire clinics are held from early February through the end of March. Umpire clinics for the men's modified and co-rec leagues will be held in July. To officiate in the adult slow-pitch softball program, umpires must register with the contracted booking agent and attend a required number of clinic sessions, which may vary according to years of experience. For umpire information, contact the Booking Agents at 336-501-8767.
