Officer M.P. Kees has served as a patrol officer for the Greensboro Police Department since 2006 and is currently a member of the Hostage Negotiation Team, along with his role as a School Resource Officer.
As an SRO, Kees provides security for students and faculty, and enjoys being a positive role model for students. He says the most appealing part of being a SRO is "building healthy relationships with the students using open channels of communication to prevent juvenile delinquency."
Kees offers this advise to students: "Take ownership of yourself and your problems. Once you take ownership of the problem, you can work to fix it."
