City Partners with Guilford County Schools to Paint Snow Plow Blades
Posted Date: 10/31/2017 11:45 AM
Before they hit the pavement to clear this winter’s ice and snow, the blades on some of the City of Greensboro’s snow plow trucks will get a makeover. The City has teamed up with Guilford County Schools to provide snow plow blades to five elementary schools, where art students will paint them in November. The students will paint creative designs of their choice, and each plow will feature artwork that is unique to the school that created it. The City will pick up the snow blades on Monday, November 20. The five snow plow blades will be featured on snow trucks in the 2017 Holiday Parade on Saturday, December 2 at noon. Students and residents can also look for the blades as they travel the city during inclement weather.

Participating schools include Archer, Cone, Erwin, Morehead and Peeler elementary schools.
