Library Hosts Women in STEM Careers Panel Discussion November 2

The Greensboro Public Library hosts a panel discussion, She Blinded Me With Science, with local women in STEM careers, at 7 pm, Thursday, November 2 at the Glenn McNairy Branch, 4860 Lake Jeannette Rd. The STEM panelists are women who are paving the way for the future in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Panelist include: Dr. Lakshmi S. Iyer, Professor of Information Systems and Director of the Applied Data Analytics Graduate Programs at Appalachian State University. L. Rena Hart, Environmental, Health and Safety Manager at Owens-Illinois, Winston-Salem plant. Marti Groome, a chemist at City of Greensboro Department of Water Resources. Dr. Tennille Presley, Associate Professor of Physics in the Department of Chemistry at Winston-Salem State University. Moderating this event is Steve Sumerford, retired Deputy Director of the Greensboro Public Library and head of Sumerford Consulting.

Part of the One City, One Book celebration, this event is free and open to the public.
