The Greensboro History Museum welcomes the Greensboro Holiday Parade with free, family-friendly activities from 10 am to 1 pm Saturday, December 2 at 130 Summit Ave.
Visitors can enjoy free hot chocolate, family-friendly crafts and the opportunity to visit with Santa from 10:30-11:30 am. Most activities will be held in Richardson Park which is adjacent to the Museum at the corner of Summit Avenue and Greene Street. Guests can make their own history-related ornaments, play with historical toys, write postcards to Santa and tour the McNairy House and Blacksmith Shop. Best of all, visitors will be able to participate in a made-in-Greensboro tradition: making a lighted Christmas ball, while supplies last.
There’s more magic inside the museum. Tiny felt mice, dressed for the holidays, are making merry throughout our galleries. See how many of these mischievous mice you can find. The Mousetastical Mouse Hunt runs through Sunday, January 7.
The Greensboro History Museum is open daily except Mondays. There is no admission fee. The museum is a member of the Smithsonian Institution Affiliation Program and accredited by the American Association of Museums.
