Sportsplex Hosts Soccer Training Camp January 13-15
Posted Date: 1/2/2018 9:30 AM
The Greensboro Sportsplex will host the Captain Elite soccer training Clinic for players ages 9-19 from January 13-15. Online registration is now open. The camp costs between $129 to $299, depending on how many days a player participates.

Captain Elite is a soccer talent development academy that designs video-based technical training courses used by families across the USA and Europe to master individual skills not developed with their teams. Families from 15 states are expected to attend this clinic to learn technical excellence, personal responsibility and how to train on their own.

The clinic will feature pro players, college coaches and other experts, including Angela Duckworth, the New York Times best-selling author of “GRIT, The Power of Passion and Perseverance,” World Cup and NCAA Champion UNC coach Anson Dorrance, and Anders Ericsson, author of “Peak: Secrets from the New Science of Expertise.” The authors will lead a panel discussion with youth players to illustrate how the latest high-performance research is being used to help youths develop more effectively.
