New Play Project Winner “Boxes and Baggage” Premiers January 18
The Drama Center of City Arts presents Amy da Luz’s “Boxes and Baggage,” the 2018 New Play Project winner and opening performance of the 16th Annual Greensboro Fringe Festival. Performances will be January 18-21, Thursday through Saturday at 8 pm and on Sunday at 2 pm in the Stephen D. Hyers Theatre, 200 N. Davie St. Admission is a recommended donation of $10.
On Saturday, January 20, the Drama Center Booster Club will host a Drama Drink Night fundraiser to support Drama Center programs. After the show, the audience is invited to a talkback session with the playwright and production team.
“Boxes and Baggage” is about a journey to an unknown destination taken by two strangers. They are challenged throughout this surrealistic adventure by disasters, each other, their comfort zones, and the need to keep moving.
