Greensboro Municipal Federal Credit Union Grand Opening on January 18
The Greensboro Municipal Federal Credit Union is having its grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting at 10 am, Thursday, January 18 at its newest branch location in the Renaissance Shops, 2511 Phillips Ave. The branch allows the credit union to more readily serve its members and potential members in northeast Greensboro.
“This area has long been known to be a financial and food desert,” said Jerry Wise, President and CEO of the Greensboro Municipal Federal Credit Union. “When the Renaissance Co-op, a food cooperative, opened its doors last year, they alleviated the food desert.”
The Greensboro Municipal Federal Credit Union joins the Renaissance Community Co-op in the plaza, as well as the City’s McGirt-Horton Branch Library. Cone Health is opening a new clinic in the plaza in February 2018.
