City Employee Arrested on Drug Charges

City of Greensboro employee Michael Ashley Faison was arrested Thursday by Greensboro Police and charged with possession with intent to sell or distribute a controlled substance, marijuana. The City has placed Faison on administrative leave without pay with additional disciplinary action pending the outcome of his arrest.

Greensboro Police arrested Faison at Windsor Recreation Center, where he works as a janitor. Police subsequently searched his home and found additional drugs, including marijuana, and other controlled substances. He was additionally charged with maintaining a dwelling to sell and distribute a controlled substance. Police report that the total amount of marijuana seized was less than one pound.

Faison has been employed by the City of Greensboro for 28 years.
