Posted Date: 12/13/2012 8:00 AM

Several downtown roads between W. Market Street and W. Friendly Avenue will be closed to traffic Sunday, December 16, for the Running of the Balls 5K Walk/Run.

Beginning at 4:30, Greensboro police officers will begin blocking roads in and around the Sunset Hills neighborhood. Due to limited visibility, no vehicular traffic will be permitted on the route during the event.

Greensboro police will be posted at key intersections to provide for an orderly flow of traffic and protect event participants.

All roads should re-open by 8:30 pm.
