City Hosts Women’s Empowerment/Domestic Violence Support Group
Posted Date: 12/12/2012 1:00 PM

The City's Women and Violence Committee of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), in collaboration with the City's Parks and Recreation Department, is hosting a Women’s Empowerment/Domestic Violence Support Group on December 13 from 7-8:30 pm at the Trotter Recreation Center, 3906 Betula St.

The purpose of the group is to talk about domestic violence and empower those who have been or are currently in abusive relationships. The support group will be led by a facilitator who works with survivors of domestic violence.

The CSW is an arm of the City’s Human Relations Department. The mission of the CSW is to improve the quality of life for women in Greensboro, in part, by creating and conducting educational programs on issues affecting women.

For more information on the Women’s Empowerment/Domestic Violence Support Groups, contact Robert Nunn, Human Relation's division manager, at 336-373-2038.
